Author Guidelines
Author/s should carefully read the entire submission guidelines before submitting the manuscript for publication.
1. Al Shodhana (ISSN: 2320 – 6292)
A Multi-Disciplinary Double-blind peer-reviewed Refereed Research Journal with ISSN of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University)Mangaluru. It welcomes original research articles from academicians, researchers, and practitioners related to Business, Humanities, Management, Science, and Social Sciences.
2. Objective
The objective of the Journal is to provide a forum for academicians, Practitioners, Research scholars, and Students of various disciplinesto disseminate their research findings to a wider audience so that the research results are communicated to the public.
Open an opportunity to contribute to knowledge development and trigger further research among readers.
3. Frequency of Publication
The journal is published twice a year: January and July.
4. Deadline for Submission if Research Articles
There is no deadline for each issue. We will try our level best to publish as early as possible. We will accept articles throughout the year and include it in the upcoming issue.
5. General Directives
5.1. Authors must ensure that manuscripts are free of grammatical, spelling andpunctuation errors. These must be thoroughly edited before submission. It is not the responsibility of editors to correct the article grammatically and improve the English language of the paper. The manuscripts not prepared according to guidelines and prescribed format may be rejected and not sent for blind review/ publication.
5.2. Editorial committee reserves all the rights to alter/modify or reject the article.
5.3. Contributors are requested to be careful not to violate any of the provisions of the Copyright Act. The Journal is not responsible for any violations or lapses on the part of the contributors.
5.4. Receipt of the article will be acknowledged by e‐mail immediately and decision onacceptance will be communicated within two months of actual receipt of the softcopy of the paper

6. Introduction
The manuscript must be in British English and prepared on a standard A4 size paper setting. It must be prepared on a 1.5-spaced and single column with a 1” margin set for top, bottom, left,and right. It should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman Font with page numbers at the bottom of every page. It should not be more than 10,000 words and must be typed on one side of A‐4size paper.
7. Manuscript Title
The title of the paper should be in a 14-pointTimes New RomanFont. It should be bold typed, centered and First letter of each word capitalised.
8. Author Name(S) and Affiliations
The author (s) full name, designation, affiliation (s), address, mobile / landline numbers, and Email /alternate email address should be in 12‐point Times New RomanFont. It must be centered underneath the Title.
9. Abstract
Abstract should be in fully italicized text, not exceeding 250 words. The abstract must be informative and explain background/premise, aims, methods, results,recommendations and implications of findings. Authors should avoid using citations in the abstract of the manuscript and should be in 11‐point Times New RomanFont.
10. Keywords
Abstract must be followed by list of keywords, subject to the maximum of five. These should be arranged in alphabetic order separated by commas and full stops at the end. Should be in 12‐point Times New RomanFont Italics.
10. Headings
All the headings should be in a 12-pointTimes New Roman Font. These must be bold-faced, aligned left andcapitalize first letter of each word with 6 pt before and 6 pt after.
11. Sub Headings
All the sub headings should be in a 12-pointTimes New Roman. These must be boldfaced,aligned left and Sentence case. The sub heading coming under this must be 11pt with sentence case 1pt before and 6 pt after.
13. Main Text
The main text should be in a 12-pointTimes New Roman; line spacing is 1.5 and justified. Donot underline anything, you may use italics. Try to avoid abbreviations. The spacing between paragraph shall be 6pt after each paragraph
14. Figures and Tables
These should be simple, centred, separately numbered and self-explained, andtitles must be above the Tables / figures. (Table1: Title with first letter of each word capitalized and italics) Note if any must be provided below the table before the source of data. Sources of data should be mentioned below the table/figure (Single space 10 pt). It should be ensured that the tables/figures are referred to from the
15. Equations
These should be consecutively numbered in parentheses, horizontally Centre with equation number placed at the right.
16. Citations in the Text
Make sure that every reference cited in the text (in-text citation) must also be presented in thereference list and vice versa. Personal communications and unpublished results should not be included in the reference list at the end of the manuscript but may be presented in the text as footnote.
17. References
The list of all references should be alphabetically arranged. It must be single spaced, and at the end of the manuscript. The author (s) should mention only the actually utilised references in the preparation of manuscript and they are supposed to follow APA Style of Referencing (7th Edition).Times New Roman 10pt, with 1.15 spacing justified (https://apastyle.apa.org).
